The time has come round again for us to pack a bag and head up the M6 for a two-day beer extravaganza. That’s right, BeerX UK is here – and we’ve worked up a thirst!
What is BeerX?
BeerX UK is an annual trade event that spans the entire brewing and beer industry. From brewers to buyers, suppliers to specialists, it’s an all-encompassing fair of everything connected to making, selling and celebrating the world of beer – and those who work in it.
It usually takes place in March, at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, Kings Dock.
What’s BeerX for?
BeerX is organised by SIBA, the Society of Independent Beer Brewers. As such, it focuses on celebrating independent brewers and promoting innovation within the beer sector. It also helps people in the beer industry network to create new contacts to help further their commercial or marketing goals. Another key purpose of BeerX is to share experiences, insight and guidance across brewers.
What goes on at BeerX?
There’s enough to keep even the biggest beer industry stalwart engaged and enthralled at BeerX. Here’s a sample of what you can expect to find.
Exhibitors
Naturally, there’s a wealth of exhibitors throughout the Liverpool Waterfront venue. Whether it’s equipment manufacturers, raw materials suppliers or those offering a wider set of additional beer industry services, there’s bound to be a stall showcasing something new, unique or best-in-class.
Awards
No industry standard event would be complete without a comprehensive series of awards to recognise achievements. From the up-and-coming independent brewer to legendary lifetime contributions, there’s plenty of opportunity to celebrate that stand-out figures and collectives within the beer and brewing industry.
Speakers and talks
Learning, knowledge sharing and discussion is also a big part of BeerX. Showcase seminars, in-depth debates and panel-led talks provide a fully rounded view of all things beer. Whether it be expert views on business growth, operational best practice, or just how to make a name for yourself, BeerX certainly delivers when it comes to providing insight around the brewing sector.
Fringe events
Once the main event is over, the party is just beginning. Each BeerX also boasts a host of external events wider afield, allowing breweries, bars and pubs the opportunity to take BeerX into the later hours. After all, that beer won’t drink itself!
Is Lanemark participating in BeerX UK?
Yes! We are attending, so if you see us come and say Hi. We’d love to talk about all things process heating and discussing the role of combustion burners in the brewing process. You might also find us lurking somewhere near the bar, but don’t tell anyone…
